    Default Making some Hogg Islands!

I've been waiting for the last month to see this... Still very early in the season though, so I am hoping this pair drops me beautiful orange babies in the months to come. Even though the pics suck, the male is a VERY high orange. Vin Russo, from which both these originate from, said he has never seen a pure hogg island with so much intense orange when fired up. This will also actually be my first breeding of any boa species. Basically from what I've gathered is to leave them together doing this until I see the female ovulate and if I do not witness it, then to just leave them together?

I don't know anything about breeding these, but wanted to say "they are awesome looking!" Good Luck!

That about it. Watch for ovulation and I believe you should have 105-125 days until birth. I have had gestation periods for my females be a lot longer, however, sometimes I suck at taking accurate records or catching the ovulation swell. One of the major mistakes that first time boa breeders do is to mistake the ovulation for the female being gravid and removing the male way too early. Good luck!

WOW his color is great for a pure hogg! And the female has some nice pinks as well.
