Default Droopy Drawers and Juicy Booty... inverts!

LOL... DD and JB were having a serious chat when I went back to check on one of my geckos a few minutes ago, so I grabbed the camera...

DD is on the left.. JB, the opposite...

These are my medium and large Strawberry Hermits... PeeWee is probably somewhere eating

Haha-- that's too cute. They really do look like they're having a "serious chat".
Oo and they're really pretty colors!

Thanks, you guys! I love my Crabby kids Straws are particularly active and social. My three are always doing something funny or daring and they get full use of their tank... all levels, even.

Hehe, so what do hermit crabs talk about?

I'm glad your hermits are friendly. I think out of everything I've ever been bit by, hermit crabs are on the top of my list as being the most painful. (well, they pinch. buuut....)

    Vety cute pictures. (and names)

Thanks! I think my crabs were discussing DD's fascination with pushing JB and PeeWee off the big log... or maybe just PeeWee... and JB was telling DD that it isn't very nice. Or.. they were discussing what might be for dinner... kelp or red dulse with a steamed clam or broiled salmon, fresh coconut and a red grape or green? Y'know.. the usual crabby chat

I agree on the biting/pinching thing... I've been tackled by a few things in my day and to be pinched by a scared or angry hermit is not a pleasant thing. I have a scar in my palm from a Purple Pincher still today... and it's exactly why he is being shipped to WA to live with a friend.

Ouch! I share your pain. I got bit by a purple pincher on my palm too and the little sucker left me a little scar. I panicked because when they get you they keep applying more pressure rather then letting up. A dip in a nearby fish tank set him straight. (I then rescued him after, but I wasn't pleased about it )

Could we see a pic of the tank? I had a small hermit crab once but due to a mishap he got a leg cut off and lost the will to liveeee.
