I heard through the grapevine that some Cresties have become infected with a highly infectious fungus of the tail. The fungus eventually leads to the dropping of the tail and may or may not have other consequences. Can anyone give me more info on this including symptoms and what to watch for? Pictures, of course, would be great but I know that is often difficult. Any info anyone can give me would be great!
Thanks Much!

I have not been able to find any specifics either but it is my impression that a couple of individuals as well as one good sized breeder has had experience with this and I am hoping that they will comment and shed some light on this for me. The health of my animals is very important to me and the best way I have found to keep them healthy is to be educated and well informed.
I really appreciate you looking :)
Thanks in advance to everyone!

As this forum seems to get very little traffic...I think I will post this in the main forum as well :)
