Okay so since I'd gotten my cresties I alternated between watered CGD and baby-food flavored (I tried mango, peach, pear and others) and would you believe... I came home today to find one mostly round gecko-belly XD I was in a hurry and added waay too much water last night to thier dish. I use water bottle caps as I go through a ton of em and you can just toss em the next day. =D Woot for easy cleanup!

Anywho, I added a ton extra water and apparently at least Footnot likes it! He's so ... round. Or maybe he just hit a growth spurt. My geckos seemed to have been getting thinner and thinner...adn then poof he explodes into growth! *dances* The pics are a little too big to fit in one row on my computer but hopefully some of ya'lls will work like I'd planned. XD Enjoy!

Here's a before and after pic comparison:

And here's Parabee. This one hasn't shot off and grown double her weight overnight... she still looks quite thin to me. I guess since she doesn't pig out like Footnot up there. XD

XD Yea. He kinda did that on my hand last night during photo shoots. So did the Parabee... but that wasn't that bad as I've never seen her eat to full capacity. Seems to happen to all my reptiles. One of the pair pigs out, the other just eats enough to function.

I would recommend that you stop giving them baby food altogether or add some insects into the mix. By doing baby food you are messing up the completeness of the CGD, it has to be fed exclusively to be a complete diet. The other option is to use it as a part of their diet in which case you would also want to do insects at least once a week. :)

I already have. As soon as I figured out they'd eat without it I stopped. I had to switch em from only crickets thier first few weeks of life first XO Which was ... difficult in itself but I'm sure plenty of people've had to do that.

Thankies for the heads up though... I hadn't thought about throwing hte nutrition off. I just wanted to sweeten it up to make it more desirable at the time. XD They're good off now though if that pic of Footnot's any indication.
