The foggers are pretty much junk, they don't last very long at all. The pet stores I deal with say they have like 50% of them returned in the first month. Save your money, don't buy a fogger. :)

You'll be better off with a mister, trust me(or everyone else in the forums, Lol) :D
Thanks Peeps. I just thot it would be really kewl to have fog in my cage but if the foggers are peices of crap I wont bother buying one.

Ya, I bought a fogger. Lasted about 1 month at full capacity and three months total. Was such a rip off and waste of money.

I bought one of those Mr. Moistures like 2 months ago and still havent got it workin the way I want.
They sell it to you saying $100 but then its like another $100 for all the nozzles/tubing. :x

I use a spray bottle set on "mist" and if it breaks, oh well, I'm out $3.00. It works great, too.

The guy at my local pet store recommended an ultra sonic humidifier, available at meijers, wal-mart, drug stores, etc. He also said the "pet store foggers" were junk.
BUT, here is the trick..... ultrasonic humidifiers do NOT have any sort of standardized hose hook ups. What ever you get you will need to put together a delivery system your self. Im running a Vicks ultrasonic and the discharge opening is 2", i used a 2" to 1 1/4" fernco then to 1 1/4" tubing with T's and 90's. I also have my fogger on an electronic timer to go off for 7 min every 4 hours.
So... i would say that Yes the "pet store foggers" are junk and should be avoided. If you have a bit of know how and are willing to put forth the $$, a ultrasonic humidifier is a great way to reliably maintain humidity and can even eliminate need for spraying(water droplets condense on plant leaves) for drinking water. Ive been running my set up, maintainance free, for 8-9 months. If my memory serves correct my humidifier was 33 or 35 dollars, parts for the timer i built was approx 25-30 bucks, add in another 10-15 for tubing, T's and 90's.
hope that helps
I dont think im going to get any sort of fogger any time soon.

I have a fogger set up in my terrarium. I guess its a matter of opinion! I have replacement discs for mine and I have my fogger set up on a timer so it's not running all the time. They only last for about 3000 hours. But, I also have a small pump set up in a water dish to keep the water moving and it work just as good as the fogger.

as far as an automatic mister/sprayer goes, i dont know. The only set ups ive seen sprayers in have been Vivariums and some Frog setups. Ive never seen anyone use a sprayer for any crested setup.

just wanted to update.... .I had to fix my "fogger" today.... was maintenance free up till now(over 1yr).
An unknown entity invaded my house and dumped the thing over(*evil-eyes* the cats), which resulted in shut down. Took it apart to find the small internal fuse was blown, so was a cheap fix.
