I live where the red arrow is, we live on a channel that connects to Lake wawasee, the largest natural lake in indiana.

The circle is the small town of syracuse. Pop, 3,000 during the winter......22,000 during the summer.

That reminds me of a funny story. These two homeless gentlmen lived outside our hotel and my the end of the trip we were really good friends with them, and we bought them muffins for breakfast every day. I love San Francisco \:D/

Yeaaa! A photo! Lol. It's about time, Sobe. :P

As for San Fran, yup... gotta love it. It's the only place where I've been chased down the street by a Chinese person plucking a Guqin, screaming at me to give him money. LMBO! I'm dead serious, this guy was MAD!!! Scared the bejesus out of me... so I ran like hell. :D :P

A Guqin. It looks kind of like a flat banjo, but makes that funky Chinese "twanging" sound. He was some homeless guy sitting on the curb. When I walked around him, he said, "You give me money. I have no home." I told him that I was sorry but I didn't have any money to give him (I never carry cash). He stood up, glared at me, and started furiously plucking his guqin. I started walking away and he followed. I walked faster... so did he. Finally he screams out "YOU GIVE ME MONEY!" and starts running towards me, plucking that darned instrument... I took off running (he was freaky scary!) and he chased me for a few blocks until he got tired. Thank God I'm a good sprinter. He probably would have thumped me in the head with that darned thing if I wasn't! LMBO! :D :P

that sounds pretty creepy!! You can find some characters in the inner city!! I personally love the city life. I skateboard quite a bit here in atlanta, and we have some strange kids out here (me included). There is one guy in particular named Reggie Love a homeless man that comes into our store and often locks himself in the bathroom. He then starts screaming at himself and bangs on the walls while locked in the bathroom. I don't know how many times we've called the police to come pick him up. He's quite large, so no one volunteers to throw him out. I saw him the other day on my way home from work and he was sitting in the middle of street pretending he was driving a car, shifting gears and all!! I told my boss that we should hire him to do security, I couldn't see anybody jumping our fence while reggie's guarding the property.

Wow. I definately don't live in a big city but we have more crazies than a psyche ward.... The crappy thing is that they're all regulars at my store (Rite Aid) one guy is really angry and smells terrible, and another has like 15 personalities and each one wants to kill the other one for stealing his hat. One night a woman came in and told me that she was being drugged and used as a prostitute every night and that she wouldn't tell the police because they were supposed to be inside the criminal mind (I found out later that she's a patient at a nearby mental health clinic). Then there was the guy who came in wearing nothing but a pair of boxers and wanted me to repair his cell phone even though all he had was the manual. We nearly had to call the police to remove him because the store was closing and he just wanted to stand at the register and play with the manual. None of them are dangerous but they're creepy as heck :? .

Lol. I think every city has it's token crazy person (or people). When I lived in Albuquerque.... there was this crazy guy who walked around on crutches staring intently at the ground where the crutch would hit, but whenever he had to cross the street, he'd pick them up and sprint across the road like an Olympic runner. Really old guy, not too creepy, just the token weird person who'd pop up randomly all over town. There was also the crazy drag queen who walked up and down the median on Lomas Street, but that's a whole different story. (He/She was NUTS!)

we have a black male that cross dresses and walks the streets in cheerleading outfits. One day I saw him and he had a wedding dress on, holding a bouquet of flowers. He's actually pretty famous in atlanta, he's made the news a few times. I think he does it for the attention.

We had a girl (who was mental) run into our classroom crying and scared to death saying there was a serial killer trying to shoot an airgun bullet up her butt. I busted out laughing and then I got in trouble for laughing at her (even though I told the principle what she said and he even chuckled). :? Oh well I still get a kick out of it

OMG Crested lady, you gotta love the hyper aggressive bums of San Francisco. Half the time I thought I was about to get mugged, not panhandled. That's the only city I've been to where they are INSISTENT that you give them something!

in Toronto you have more weirdo's than you can count... it's hard to name just one... although there is one guy that is always on the one same corner, singing and yelling and picking fights for booze, and he looks like he's lost most of them.

otherwise, lts of transvestites, especially around the gayberhood ... I've seen a few guys in nothing but stilletos and a thong, and in a couple of cases, a whip ... yet t's fairly normal downtown Toronto.

I was in San Fran this past May for a work conference. Didn't run into any hyper street people, but there was a "peaceful" protest that got out of hand just outside the hotel that was hosting the conference.

Thankfully I had beautiful weather 99% of the time I was there. It rained the day before I left.
