Anyone here have any info/experience with them? I'd really like to get one in the near future, but want to study up a lot before hand. Here's a few questions I already have:
How big of an enclosure does a baby Rhino need?
I know that a PAIR of Rhinos need at least a 10' X 10' enclosure, but what about just ONE adult rhino? Although, I'm planning to just let him/her free roam my room once he/she is big enough.
How many times a week do I need to suppliment with Calcium w/ D3? Multi-Vitamins?
Thanks! And if anyone has any, please post pics!!!

Since Rhino iggies don't do as much climbing as the green iguanas, they need an enclosure with more floor space than height. The couple babies I've helped raise up we've always started in something along the lines of a 50-60 breeder tank. They grow fast, and by the time they hit a year old were moved into a 6X3X3 cage. They seem to do best (and tame easier) when you can start them free-roaming at about 2 years old. I wouldn't try to keep more than a single adult in anything 10X10, as pairs can get quite nasty with each other if not given lots of space, especially when breeding - and they will be *very* territorial.
If you feed a good diet with alot of variety, and provide a good source of uv lighting (natural sunlight or mercury vapor bulbs) you shouldn't have to supplement but maybe once a week. We feed our rhinos the same as we feed our green iguanas - a base diet of dark greens (collard, mustard, dandelion, turnip, and endive), with different vegetables (hard winter squashes, snap peas, peppers, parsnip, etc) and some fruits as treats. They also occasionally get a treat of a small bit of whole-grain bread or cooked whole-grain pasta.

Oh, I just want one. Not wanting to breed, just want a big lizard friend, hehe. I MIGHT be able to get a youngster sometime next year, and when I move out I can let her have a bed room all to herself (hoping for a girl, don't know why). I'm wanting the bed room to have a door to go outside, a doggy-door or something similar in the door, and a pin right there as soon as she walks out. That way she can get natural sunlight, along with the MVB bulb that I'll have inside by her basking spot. Those are my plans. I love their attitudes and everything! And they pretty much eat the same greens as my bearded dragons. So all I would need to do is supplement calcium (w/ d3?) and multi-vit. once a week? Is that all in one day or calci on and vit another? Thanks so much!!
