ate their own egg ?

i came home last night and my vorax had laid a good egg but for some reason somone chewed it up. i cant figure this one out. any idea's ?

I know many gecko species (both sexes) will consume eggs (fertile or not) in an attempt to complete their diet. How are they calcium reserves? Feeding schedule?

Males seem to be veryyyy prolific for this.When i had them i would seperate the m ales after the eggs were laid.Marginata do the same thing...Hell i even caught a mutilata doing it..IF YOU WOULD CALL ONCE IN A wHILE...lmao...
