The exact species is Pituophis Deppei Jani.

I just bought my husband a pair of those for his birthday. As babies, they are ok but the adults are stunning. I can't wait till our grow and get their colors. Have fun with him(or her).

Haha, I looked at this expecting a Pituophis m. melanoleucus. You probably already knew this, but if not, P d. jani is the Northern Mexican Pine. I think the mexican pines look much nicer than the ones around here anyway.

Congrats on your newest addition. He is very cute! I have never kept any Northern Pines, but they always have intrigued me.

Real nice. I love pits. I have a bull snake and an Applegate Sandiego gopher. Now I have to get a pine one day.
