I have a 4 month old juvenile that I have had for about 3 months now. Ever since I got it it has been a deep red. At first I assumed it was still showing it's hatchling color, but now at 4 months old it still has the same red coloration. The thing I find odd, is that it has never changed to it's "in-between" color phase. It has been red ever since I received it. My question is, has anyone seen a red crested stay very red during its juvenile stage and have it keep the same color into adulthood? I'm really hoping that because it is still red it will be an amazing red adult. Let me know what you think!
This is not a picture of MY crested, but it is almost the exact same color as mine! (Only difference is mine is larger.) I just wanted to give an example of the color I'm talking about. It always helps to understand the question when you have an image to look at. (My camera totally washes out my cresteds red color!)
