Uroplatus Sikorea Eggs!!! need some help

one of my females just layed eggs but they were really sticky and wierd lookin she layed one on a leaf..and the other right on the side of the tank!!!!!.....i looked at her one minute and the next there was an egg on the side of my tank...so i saw the other one ...how do i incubate them and on what substrate!!

Hi tminard, I breed Uroplatus henkeli and those are most likely infertile eggs. When the eggs are infertile they are lopsided and don't even seem hard shelled and they usually just lay them wherever they may be at the moment. You will know fertile eggs because they will take the time to dig a hole to lay them in and then cover them with some of the substrate. Also, the eggs will look perfectly round.

Here is a picture of how the egg should look along with the baby that hatched out of it. Hope this helps!

so does this mean they have bred or will the females lay infertile eggs without any breeding?

Hey! Most eggs without hard shells will be infertile. I personally have never seen a soft shell egg that was fertile..

You can still try to incubate them though. I incubate mine the same as cresteds.
