If Matt won't go, I'll help you catch them :)

Why don't you go one island over and bring me back some wild cresteds and maybe a trachy or two ;)

I would much rather see more species from Madagascar. I think we could use a few more Ebenavia in US collections.

but I do think the Vorax are cool.

see the other part of this is that vanuatu by itself is 80+ islands, and there has not been a good expadition for reptiles yet. i could find some undescribes species. and that would be a big deal.

I'm a bit confused. Did you get funded to go on a expedition for reptile observation in Vanuatu? Or are you just taking a "vacation" and illegally collecting reptiles? Not to be taken offensively, just curious. Thanks,
-Adam

could you get Lamprolepis smaragdina in? they would be the only species from that region, that I can think of, that i'd be interested in, depending on quality and when the shipment comes in.

Oh I am certainly not worried, just very curious as I have never heard of anything like this being to able to be done. I mean I can understand people going down to South Florida and bringing back bags and bags of whatever, but how do you arrange just going to another country and collecting?

What about the natives? There could be a reason why people haven't been there to collect reptiles. I could picture my head on a stick, and some guy wearing my fingers on his necklace. Maybe I have no idea what i'm talking about. Josh

Luckily it would just be Adam's head, not yours.

Max,
Are you saying that you have a big head, or maybe a hard head, or that you just have a thing for big sticks?

How do you get the permits to do that? That would be pretty cool to go out and do. I'd like to do something like that in the future. Good luck!

The Vanuatu Gov't will only issue permits for collection to Zoo's and the like.

Alternately you will need to set-up a business in Vanuatu but then again the category of license you need is restricted to locals.

Sorry Tumas.
