Dalmation Spots

I saw a juvie crestie with red dalmation spots. Will its spots remain red, or to they change to black over time? Is this a common feature?

I'm not sure if it's common or not, but yes red spots can stay red. In my case, I have a dalmation with loads of black spots, with a few red spots here and there. She has yet to change her spots.

The red spots seem to stay red even into maturity, and they seem to develop more red spots as they get older like the black spots...at least thats what I have experienced with mine

Yup, the red spots stay. I have one red female that has nothing but red spots on her. (Scarlett). Kind of neat. :D

edit*** Oops.. just found a black spot (duh)... but 98% of them are red. :wink:

Yeah I have a super red spotted dalmation male by the name of Morttis. Nothing but red spots! He just sired his first eggs with a high yellow female of mine and a red spotted flame I have. The offspring should be nice!

actually I am always looking for females with red spots, I have some really nice stuff and anyone who would be up for trading any may just walk away with somthing very, very nice. Feel free to let me know.

His spots have nearly increased by 1/3! and guess what there red!
