Well i have everything for my roaches (60 Blaptica dubia) set up, except for the roaches of course. Two ounces of water crystals and 2 lbs of roach food. They will be in a 10 gallon with lots of egg crate and tupperware lids for water/food. Pics up later.

I'm jealous! I want to get some roaches! I have to use up my crickets first. I don't know why I bought 1000 pinheads last show I was at. They aren't even big enough to feed yet! UGH!. Anyway, looks good! Take pictures when they get there.

IMO you should order your roaches now. As it takes several months for production to start. got mine from blaberus.com

Sorry. I visited the roach site and just can not bring myself to purchase them -- even if they are "non-crawlers". I'll try my Clark's diet again tonight since most or all of the crickets from the other day have been eaten...
Roaches...YUCK!

u dont need papertowels in ur enclosure for them, imo it makes it harder.. they work fine with no substrate at all

haha i agree. I'm thinking of not calling them roaches anymore...the name just brings up nasty images.

how ironic, ur names lilroach HAhah
just call them by their scientific name.. since theres a lot of species of roaches that peopel use as feeders

i have hundreds of lobster roaches... can't get any other kind in Canada yet... half of my cresties won't touch them at all... a couple of others have eaten one or two and never looked back. One of my females kills them and spits them out...
I hear so many good stories about them, but I haven't had much luck so far... trying to get my babies used to them so I'll have someone to feed them to...
if anyone in Canada wants to try roaches, I could use to get rid of some.

I have a colony of about 500 discoids and all of my rhacs refuse to eat them, they seem curious and will walk up to them, and even lick them but won't eat them, but the nymphs make good food for my smaller aussie geckos so I guess they're not a complete waste.BOBBY

yeah, mine act the same... they look, lick, sit on them... they're like best buds :P
I give my little sister roaches cause her anoles will eat them... but now she's got her own colony going... the damn things procreate like mad

Man, all I can say is, when I give my geckos roaches, they had better eat them!! There's a friend with a false death's head colony who is selling me nymphs cheap since I only have 2 geckos; and I am happy I will have a chance to "train" my geckos before I have any roaches breeding in my house....

My little bro has anoles, so he orders roaches every week or so, he considers the roaches more of the pet than the anoles, lol :D
