I am not sure what this is, but it was sold to me as a dark flame? When he is fired up he looks really cool. He gets really yellowish orange with black markings. Please tell me what you guys think. Thanks!

In my opinion, it's markings look a lot like my tiger's. It definately has darker stripes though.

I guess it really depends on how you're looking at the animal. The first shots make it look like a marble from the angles they were taken. But these last "side" pic shows more distinct markings instead of those random and associated with marbles. I'd say tiger. Nice one might I add.

Oops, just realized those were pics of two different animals. First one, a marble/tiger hybrid. Second one, definitely a tiger.

Lol, I suck with colors, so I thought they were pics of the same gecko, taken at different time periods. :D

I'm totally lost............. I think they're of the same gecko but the lighting is different. The markings on the back are the same anyway.... Either way I'd call it a brindle because the only marbles that I've seen have a a more uniform pattern. Awesome gecko though!! I love the bold, dark markings :D .

First 2 pics on this page are of the same gecko. Last one is Kevin's tiger. Wow, you've seen marbles with uniform pattern :?:

:-k So, if it's got contrasting color markings all over its dorsal/side/limbs, why isn't it then a harlequin? I thought tiger was just for animals with vertical stripes on back/sides/belly, and harlequin was for animals patterned all over...... help me out! :?:

Ok good so I wasn't as lost as I thought! :D
If you take a look on the ACReptiles site the marble there has a very uniform criss cross pattern. I've seen a lot of them for sale on kingsnake and what not that were just tigers that people were calling marbles, but they looked nothing like the other marble. Too bad its a morph that's newer than the rhac book or I could just refer to that  .

Well, I'm saying the 1st one is a marble because the extent to which the mottling is present. Here's some pics of a harly of mine:

Although AC designated the morph to what he is producing, I don't think marble denotes uniform pattern. My understanding of the general word means "random pattern."

So this one would be labeled as a marble due to it's thick and random tiger striped look? I'm not argueing I'm just trying to get a grasp on the defination of the marble pattern.

There is no obvious crisp definition of the morph yet, but I would say that one looks like a marble to me. Some people think organized pattern with they think marble, I think random mottled pattern when I think of it.

I think I'm getting the idea... He's beautiful anyway, regardless of the name of the color. i like the pattern a lot.
