First of all, I want to thank everyone who responded to my panicked, 'need help' thread. It was a stressful day/night but bright and early the next morning I got to take charlie into the vet. Who was wonderful, and if anyone else is needing a herp vet in the East Tennessee area I would highly recommend the Callahan Drive clinic. Charlie's junk has returned to his trunk. :P He's on antibiotics for the next 2 weeks to make sure he didnt get an infection for it being out for so many hours but all and all it was a successful venture, but one I hope not ever to repeat. :)

Here's Charlie at the office:

And here he is with his innards where they belong, and excited to be going home. :D

That is so wonderful that his naughty bits are back as they should be!! What a little cutie! Hopefully he will calm it down on the indecent exposure for awhile!

You don't have to answer if you don't want to. But what does a trip to the vet like this where there isn't any surgery involved, but there is medicine prescribed, cost? I have been curious.

I was really worried about this going into the whole mess. But the vet I found was very fair. Basically everyone I called charges a minimum fee just to see a reptile, which ranged from 63-100 dollars with the different places I called. As far as the procedure/ medicine itself, it was a pretty generic antibiotic, nothing fancy and about 50$ for everything, on top of the fee just to see him. So, just over 100 bucks. Not terrible. :)

So what did the vet do? Just kinda stuff it back in there?

Maybe the Vet showed Charlie a picture of a Rhinoceros Iguana! LOL

He had to use some sort of anti-inflamatory because it was REALLY swollen from being out at least 24 hrs and the salt-baths weren't really helping. So once it was down to a manageable size, yeah. He pretty much lubed him up and shoved it back in. Haha.
