I am very excited to announce that today I became the mother of a one month old chahoua baby! I was fortunate to have several to choose from within driving distance, and finally settled on this little beauty.
Meet "Bijou" (which means 'jewel' in French)......

Thanks, guys! I am so happy with the baby! It already ate some CGD this evening, and seems to be settling in nicely. I feel so lucky that I will get to watch this one grow up!

@AndrewLui - I wish I could take all the credit for choosing this lil one, but I had an experienced friend with a great eye help me out. I couldn't be more pleased, as I can already see some greens throughout, as well as some red tones above its shoulders and on its laterals. I am optimistic that it's going to be a beautiful chahoua.

@ Whitney - You'll know when you get them, it's the one with more white and more contrast, but both of yours look great. Very healthy looking, too. Barb is very finicky about her animals. I was impressed with her set-up.

@ Krystal- You know I think you are a" jewel" (wink)! You rock!

As much as I enjoy playing "find the crestie," it's so fun to walk past the geckos and see one just relaxing out in the open on it's cork bark (although the first time I freaked out because I couldn't find it because it blended in so well, lol.) I am amazed at how much personality I'm already seeing in this little 4g baby. So cute!
