1. I usually dust with calcium powder when I feed crickets about once every two weeks. Could you dust crickets with dry CGD perhaps? I was wondering about this.

2. I bought a few crickets recently, and when I dumped them out to dust them i noticed very small,(almost microscopic) little bugs(mites?) fell out with the crickets. Not sure if these are cricket mites? or were just attracted to the crix food. Will these(mites) harm my gecko?

Thanks so much for anyone who can help me out!

I have no clue about the cricket "mites" ... But no, you shouldn't dust with dry CGD, just keep dusting with a good quality calcium with D3.

I also don't have any idea about the mites - however, some people do dust crickets in cgd. In my opinion, it would be better to dust them in the correct mixture of vitatmins and minerals and feed them the cgd as per normal. The only time I think dusting in cgd makes sense is when your gecko won't eat it and you are trying to get them to develop a taste for it. As such, it would only be temporary. I suspect some people might disagree with me.

i would just dust with calcium. we dust the crickets because they lack so much of it. It makes the crickets more balanced
