Is a 20 gal. tall a good size for two cresties? I know a 29 gal. is good for 3 but I'm not sure about 2, my two females are currently housed in a 20 gal. tall.

Adults: Most folks agree that 10g per adult is sufficient to house them thier entire lives.

Hatchlings - young juvies: the general consensus is to keep them in about 5g per animal. Keeping them in a small enclosure, prevents them from being overwhelmed by searching a large area for food.

Thanks for the "rules of thumb" on sizing. I've been looking for a good guestimate way of knowing how much space I need in a tank.

Dont forget that for adults, bigger is better.... 10g per animal is what most ppl agree to be the minimum requirements

Thanks guys, the only reason I have them in the 20 gal. rather than the 29 gal. is I'm a little cramped for space right now, but if my parents let me put it somewhere else in my house I'll get them the 29 gal.
