Well today around 2:00 pm I had a litter of Boas; parents were a í04 Het. Albino Poss. Het. Stripe female from Pete and a male í04 DH SquareTail/ Albino Poss. Het. Stripe from Pete also. There was a hand full of slugs along with 5 Albinoís and 9 Normalís. Making everything in the litter 50% Het. SquareTail and the normalís 66% Het. Albino. Iím pleased with the litter and thought I would share some pics:

Oh, they're beautiful!!! Congrats!!! :D Thanks for sharing pics, too! Next year will be Delilah's first breeding season if I can find the right male, and my first season breeding her...so it's good to see that success can be had! :)

Thanks to both of you, appreciate it.

Best of luck with Delilah's first breeding season, hope it goes good for you. Success is there for anyone, I have had both success and failure, you just have to stick with it.

Marigold.............I have to say it is a very rewarding experience for all the work, time and effort put into breeding boas. As far as it being messy, well yes but its to exciting to really care, LOL.

Degan...........me too, every boa is different, very cool to find the unique qualities.

Umm...silly question... but what does it smell like when they're born?

LOL, its funny.............I can't exactly describe it but I've smelt it many many times and when I open the door I recognize it for baby boas..........if that makes any sense. It doesn't smell bad or good.

It doesn't smell bad or good

I recognize it as well when I enter one of my rooms. I've occasionally had a female slug out before her due date and found that by smell a few days later under layers of newspaper. Now that smells bad for sure!
