Don't know for sure. Usually that kind of local or general discoloration in a herp is associated with severe bacterial infection (septicemia) but if that were the case she should be deadly ill and certainly not eating. Is there a heat source in or near the enclosure that she can have gotten too close to? How about putting up some pictures?

While I can't say for sure, and you should still keep a close eye on your gecko just in case... it could possibly be this:
Some buckskins and green guys can get really dark (practically black) splotches on them from time to time due to changes in their environment. Usually, it's when they're sleeping and part of them has been exposed to light. (The exposed part is darker.) Kind of like a temporary "tan". The "temporary tan" thing can happen with any color crested, but the "black-ish" coloration is usually seen in the buckskins or green guys. Sometimes spraying or other activities can cause a color change as well. (Though this is usually an "all-over" color change as opposed to a change in a localized area.)
Hope this helps! (I'd still keep an eye on your gecko... just in case.)

Crested Lady has a point. My dark brown/olive male well get black on the spots he has exposed to light while he's sleeping. Here's a good example, the black line by it's hip region.

yes i see your point but it wasnt that it looked like im not sured what it looked like but it wasnt that i have a buckskin dalm., a red adnthe green flame and they all get that temporary tan, but this was different it carried through onnher underbelly it looked like black paint had dried on her, i wish i had a camera to take a pic when she was like that, i borrowed a camera if it happens again ill post the pic so you guys can see exactly what im talkin about
