View Full Version : New Crested, Not sure of Colour or Morph
I just got my crested and he/she is only 3 months old, 2-2 1/2 inches snout to vent and 4 inches with tail. I think he/she is an olive dalmation morph, but I'm not sure because he/she keeps changing colours from a light green to a brown? And I was wondering if you could tell what colour he/she will be when it's older?

It seems like a bi-color morph. From the pics it seems that his/hers colors vary alot. In one pic s/he seems green, in another yellow in another very light red.
Cool Gecko.

Until it is nearly full grown you Cant accuratly say what color/morph it is. To be reliable i would say 6-8 months old. Of course you can guesstimate when they are hatchlings/juvies. Quite often as they grow older they can develope more spots(becoming a dalmation), change colors, loose some patterning, etc....
most of the pics strongly suggest growing in to an olive dalmation
some pics hint at becoming a red, only time will tell for sure :)

Hard to tell at such an age pics of the parents would help. I am going to say an olive/buckskin with spotting

Wow! You have one heck of a flexible crested... the splits? That's impressive. :D ;)
lol Crested Lady you're right, he/she is really flexible and loooves to jump all around!... but thanks everyone for the replies. I guess I'll just have to wait until he/she is older to tell. Most days he/she is a brownish colour but when it wakes up it's a light tan colour, and then turns green and then brown. Sometimes it looks almost like a brownish red aswell... but I guess I will just have to wait... :-k
