We took both of these in this past week.....the first is a texas long-nosed snake....can't say I'd ever seen one in person before, being from Michigan. It apparently hitched a ride on a flight, and was found at a Northwest terminal at the airport. The second is a fox snake, that somebody turned in to the humane society....protected here in MI, so they turned it over to us since we're properly permitted.

Pretty weird, the snake hitching a ride on the plane and managing to get into the terminal without getting found or run over first.

Cool Additions though, don't see to many fox snakes!!

Both are really cool, but I especially love the markings on the first one.

Wow, love the first one. I can't say that I have ever seen one before. But I'm from Indiana. XD

The top one ... we called it a scarlet snake. Went on a herping trip in Louisiana and we caught a ton of em. Gorgeous, whatever the name may be.

I love a rescue! Our first gecko was a hitchiker from Jamaica, in a friend's shoe.

Congratulations, and good for you taking them in. And for the staff of the airport in not killing the snake in a panic, too.

different species, but they do look similar. They are found in different regions of the US though.
